ALL groups require an application form.

Auditions are ENCOURAGED for Nuggets of GOLD and Chrysos. Participants are asked to sing and recite something. They will receive first priority on placement in groups.

The singing portion of the audition is required for Vessels Vault, Vessels of GOLD, GOLD in Harmony, Aureus and Memories of GOLD

The monologue and improv portion of the audition is required for Vessels Vault, Vessels of GOLD, Aureus and Acts of GOLD

Interviews are required for GOLD Miners and GOLD in Motion.

How to prepare for an audition:

For groups that incorporate drama, please prepare a monologue of no more than one minute, appropriate for age and ability.

Please prepare 16-32 "bars" of a song of any style that is comfortable for the performer. You may use a karaoke, live music accompaniment, or choose to perform a capella.

Music auditions may include questions and exercises related to vocal range and music reading ability. 

In addition to the above, a performer may choose to include other areas of the performing arts, such as instrumental playing or a dance performance. These selections should be limited to no more than 2 minutes.

GOLD Miners

Internship. This group will work behind the scenes to learn about marketing, photography, film, editing and posting via social media, the work of the Talents Unleashed community. 

Ages 14+

2 hours/week in class, plus 2 hours/week flex.

Nuggets of GOLD

Nuggets of GOLD offers the opportunity to sing, dance and act. This group will be full of fun activities and learning and will perform with Chrysos in the fall and in the spring. 

Ages 6-9 years

CHRYSOS

Chrysos is great fun and full of incredible acting experiences!  Many of our Chrysos performers may want to prepare to step into Vessels Vault, Acts of GOLD or GOLD in Harmony in the years to come, so they may experience a variety of tasks including singing, acting and choreography.

A cast member may join in the fall or spring semester, and rehearse and perform each semester an original compilation of brand-new skits, specially chosen songs, and wonderful choreography to match! 

Ages 9-12

During the process, Chrysos will further discover their own talents, make awesome new friends, and feel comfortable and at home on and off the stage!  

Memories of GOLD

Memories of G.O.L.D. is open to music lovers of all ages!  This group has the specific intent of performing music for the senior generations, hospital patients, healthcare heroes, children in group homes, children’s hospitals, etc.  After some weeks of rehearsals, the group will travel to various venues to bring a smile to everyone's face!  Rehearsals are on Sunday afternoons.

Aureus

Aureus finds the most talented and puts them to work creating what never fails to culminate into an all-around mind-blowing show!  Members will write their own storylines full of twists and turns, pick out and choreograph incredible songs and dances, and come up with a completely interesting and unique cast of characters in a never-before-seen show!  

Ages 18+ (high school grads)

GOLD in Motion

Animation and voice acting are the goals of this new group. Draw, design, animate, write scripts, do voice acting and edit.

Two hours per week in studio.

Vessels of GOLD

With a talented cast of homeschooled teens ages 13-18, Vessels of G.O.L.D. is a traveling musical theater troupe that meets every Wednesday (10-2:30) September through April.  Vessels members will get ample opportunities not only to put on fantastic performances each spring, but also to claim various leadership roles in many of the behind-the-scenes aspects of the performing arts; members pick a theme, brainstorm songs and ideas, write their own skits, act as their own stagehands and costume designers, and much, much more!  Public performances are throughout April, with other optional opportunities during the year.

Ages 13-18*

Wednesdays, 10:00-2:30 September through April with an extensive time commitment for performances throughout the month of April.

 

Vessels Vault

Vessels Vault is the perfect group for any teenage movie star in the making! 

In the fall, the group will learn songs, skits and choreography from a previous Vessels of GOLD show, and be ready for live public performances before the Christmas break. They will also be learning and planning to film additional material in the spring.

In the spring, cast members will work during rehearsals and one Saturday/month to put together their own one-of-a-kind original movie from the same previous Vessels of GOLD show. Vault members will get a complete taste of the process, from how to act on screen and then present live and film form to the community.

Ages 13-18

Mondays, 10-2:30, September through April, plus a possible 4-6 hours on one Saturday of each month, especially expected January-March. Saturday dates TBD.

GOLD in Harmony

GOLD in Harmony is a show choir featuring multi-part singing, choreography and a wide variety of musical genres. This group will often be seen featured at performances by other groups at our studio as well as offering some of their own standalone performances in the spring. 

Ages 12+ (mixed ensemble)

Mondays, 4:00-6:00, September through April.

Acts of GOLD

Acts of GOLD is designed for thespians with a smaller time commitment. It's all about acting, from original scripts to classics, with a variable performance schedule.  Rehearsals are weekly for 8 months.

Ages 12-18

Two hours per week, September through December and/or January through April.
